No Contact with Eyes

Yes they are natural but they can sting if they get into your eyes!

When you are using an essential oil and that little bit flicks into your eyes, don’t weep, it’s easily fixed. ?

Use a viscous oil (Carrier oil)  like coconut or olive oil and add a little into the eye.

Do not use water. Water will force the essential oil further into the eye whereas the carrier oil will gather up the essential oil and roll it out of the eye reducing discomfort within seconds

If discomfort persists then re-apply carrier oil. Of course, if the discomfort continues, seek medical intervention.

Discomfort on the Skin

If you have used an essential oil on your skin and you have an uncomfortable sensation, apply a carrier oil to the skin.

Again, you can use olive oil, coconut oil, or whatever is on hand. Keep adding the carrier oil until the discomfort ceases. If the discomfort persists after a number of applications, please seek medical intervention.

Before using this oil again, perform a patch test.

How to Patch Test:

Place a smear or a drop of your chosen essential oil to the forearm and leave for 30 minutes. Assess skin regularly. Apply carrier oil to skin if irritation is severe.

Patch Test Alternative:

If you have experienced skin irritations to essential oils in the past and are hesitant; you are welcome at my clinic and you may patch test before you buy. ?

Handy Hint:

New to essential oils? Ensure that your essential oil is mixed with a carrier oil before applying to the skin. Avoid sensitive areas and if any discomfort occurs, do not reapply and instead slather with carrier oil and seek medical intervention if discomfort persists.
